The Marquis Theatre, a historic Northville landmark, is a beautifully-restored Victorian building with nearly eighty years of rich history and tradition. Elegantly designed, it was originally built as an opera house, then later presented vaudeville featuring some of the finest acts of its time. With their distinctive ability to sell flights of three sample tastings, they are in a unique position to assist customers on the basic principles of successful food and wine pairings too. Alan Verstraete, Wine Sync owner, has owned other food service businesses, and he saw this model as a great opportunity to open up a wine shop that is vastly different from the competition. He hired Paula Feen to manage the purchasing and customer interaction for the company. Paula owned an award winning cellar at Cheers on the Channel restaurant, and she firmly believes that you don’t have to pay a lot of money to purchase a very good bottle of wine. Michael Schafer will manage the location and provide in depth knowledge and experience for all of the guests.

Mr. Verstraete is convinced that this model will succeed, and he chose Mount Clemens as the location for their first store and Northville is the second location He sees great potential in Mount Clemens and now Northville. Wine Sync is a perfect store for Northville with its growing destination character and beautiful downtown atmosphere.
