CVMedia has been in business since 1995. We have been located in Southfield on Northwestern Highway for all of those years. Currently CVMedia produces videos, websites, interactive training programs, live events and meetings, 3D Animations and DVD and CD duplication for over 300 corporate and institutional clients in Michigan and throughout the United States. We are almost exclusive business to business (B to B).

Our 3D Animations are award winning; and in January of 2007 an animation we created for GM was featured on The Today Show.

Our multi lingual interactive training programs have also won awards nationally. Interactive programs produced by CVMedia are unique in that they include text, video, audio (voice over) and live computer screen captures to make them more interesting and engaging than other companies. We recently completed a CD-ROM in 25 foreign languages for BASF. Ken Marshall, BASF's Global Marketing Manager has been quoted as saying that the multi-lingual interactive CD-ROM and web based program produced by CVMedia "Has saved, and continues to save BASF, potentially millions of dollars each year in travel and training costs."

What makes CVMedia different, and why do companies like GM and BASF choose us over our competition? Well, we started out many years ago as the training arm for our parent company, a large midwest janitorial company...producing training videos and company sales presentations. Our corporate "mindset" is unusual in a creative industry...in other words, CVMedia is creative yet sensitive to the corporate mandate of staying on or under budget and producing projects on time, ALL the time.

Our client list is made up of industry leaders....from University of Michigan Hospital, Trinity Health, St. John Health, to GM, Bosch, BASF. Financial clients include Comerica, DFCU, Credit Acceptance and non-profits include Oakland Literacy Council and Novi Public Schools.

As our clients needs grew over the past 10 years, so did our services that we provided to them. Just 5 years ago we were duplicating hundreds of VHS tapes for our clients, now we're mastering thousands of DVD's and CD's. CVMedia is also producing iPod podcasts and programming to PocketPC's.

A few years back we were asked by a large national company, Credit Acceptance Corporation, to produce a meeting for over 400 employees. In addition to producing a video that "brought the house down", we also designed staging, video taped the event and have now even taken that show on the road to Las Vegas. This has led to CVMedia now producing approximately a dozen major shows each year with sales making up about 40% of CVMedia's overall sales.

Why the move to Northville? Jan and I are longtime residents here. We've raised 3 children in Northville and have been active in the community. Our clients, although the top in their respective industries, can secure videos and other services from CVMedia over an FTP site and have little need to come into our studio. Whether located in Southfield, Northville, or Traverse City CVMedia has met the corporate mandate of being "virtual" to their needs. Those clients who visit our studios will find an enjoyable, relaxing and casual environment here at the new Main Street Center. In 2006 we changed our bank from Comerica to Main Street Bank located right here in Northville...and now right across the hallway from us!

CVMedia is extremely involved now with Northville Public Schools and Leigh Sterns Business Internship Program. We work with high school students in multiple areas....from business and advertising to video editing and website development. It's an extensive 13 week, 4 hours per week program that is extremely worthwhile that I hope will guide more than a few of these talented students to further their education and experience in to our profession!

Where does this lead to and what does the future hold for CVMedia?

1) As our industry changes - CVMedia would like to think it has re-invented itself and is poised to handle media needs of the new, downsized corporations and institutions.
2) Pricing pressures will keep us lean and always seeking new technologies (blogs, iPod podcasts, PocketPC programming, etc)
3) Commitment to the community, as CVMedia grows, hope to attract highly skilled technological candidates to our team
4) Working more "virtual" from home allows smaller office space/overhead, etc. keeping our costs in check
5) Because we do work for Fortune 500 and large local clients, we'll be able to introduce them to the Northville area if they aren't already familiar with it. and finally...
6) I think we'll be able to attract more clients from the Northville/Plymouth/Ann Arbor areas and further west to Kalamazoo because of our closer proximity.

CVMedia currently employs 6 full time, 3 part time and over a dozen subcontract employees. As our business continues to grow, CVMedia will continue to hire talented individuals in the highly skilled (non automotive in nature, I might add) technologies that we require. Our landlord, Bob Buckhave, has allowed us additional space behind our current suite when we decide to expand.
