Awakening … The Artist Inside, art education and art supply

will learn how to capture “Creative Creatures” on paper, canvas and

arctic to the dry desert sands of the Gobi and Sahara Deserts,
students will enjoy exploring remote locations to discover its
unique and little known inhabitants. In addition to “Creative
Creatures”, the summer art camp program also includes the ever
popular Anime drawing class.
“Our art education director and store manager, Katra
Stubblefield, has outdone herself again with this year’s summer
program,” said Awakening … The Artist Inside owner, Sherri Mewha.
“She has developed a program that integrates a variety of mediums,
like paint, pastels, colored pencils, clay, and water colors with
subject matter that children are going to love,” the result, no
doubt, will be stunning.”
Because of its great success with students of all ages,
Awakening is also bringing back the Anime summer art camp for the
third year in a row. Anime is a Japanese cartooning technique
characterized by highly stylized, colorful, cartoon-like characters.
Students will create their own figures in action poses using the
same fine line pens favored by cartoonist, fashion designers,
illustrators, animators and artists worldwide.
